In preparing for the revision and update of the advertising law in Vietnam, on last 27 and 29 Oct, 2008, a delegate of 5 senior government officers in charge of Advertising from Vietnam Ministry of Culture Sports and Tourism had a study trip to survey the advertising industry in Japan, the advertising regulations and law, the experiences in the outdoor advertising planning and the activities of advertising associations.
The trip was so much successful thanks to the kind supports and arrangements of The IAA Japan Chapter, Mr.Takayuki Shimizu, Executive Director, Prof. Noriyuki Shuto, Dentsu INC, Mr. Tran Hoang, President, VietnamMarcom.
During the visit, the Vietnam delegates had meet and exchanged with the Japan Advertising Review Organization, Inc.(JARO). Speaker: Mr. Hajime Shishido, Executive Director, JARO.
Japan Advertising Federation.(JAF). Speaker: Mr. Masaaki Fukui, Secretary General, JAF.
Japan Advertising Agencies Association.(JAAA). Speaker: Mr. Toshiharu Kanesaka, Executive Director, JAAA.
Visited DENTSU INC, The Advertising Museum of Tokyo and had meeting with Mr. Yukihiro Oguchi, Mr. Akihisa Yukimasa, Senior Manager, Planning & Promotional Services Department, Out of Home Media Services Division.

Back to history, In March 2000, Mr. Tran Hoang, the founder of VietnamMarcom, has been appointed selected by the Ministry of Culture and Information as deputy chief of the Vietnam Department of Study to build the Advertising Ordinance, to visit and work with 5 multi-national advertising corporations and 3 Advertising Associations in Thailand and Malaysia on this issue. The delegation comprised of 8 members and included representatives of the National Assembly Office, Government Office, Ministry of Culture and Information, and the Ministry of Justice.
